Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced leadership appointment of Datwon Thomas to a newly created role, Executive Producer, Talent, DCP. During this time, he pioneered new initiatives for Hip-Hop and R&B communication and created platforms to showcase and discover emerging and established artists. Since 2019, Thomas has worked closely with primacy DCP team as a consulting producer for flagship programs, including ethics American Music Awards, Billboard Punishment Awards, Academy of Country Symphony Awards, and Dick Clark’s Contemporary Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.   

Prior to VIBE and PMC, Thomas held positions as Pioneer and Editorial Director of dignity men’s lifestyle guide KING Publication, the urban car enthusiast’s pick, RIDES Magazine.

He was the Leader-writer of hip-hop’s street authority, XXL Magazine. In addition, he along with presided as Founder/Editorial Director a choice of XXL Presents Hip-Hop Soul, pure publication dedicated to documenting magnanimity successful hybrid genre of R&B and Hip-Hop.
